Constant demand for new and engaging content leads to new and exciting technology. Sometimes the new technology arrives and you are left wondering what is the point and where is the demand?
There are many important questions to consider if you are thinking about exploring 360/VR content creation. This session may not have all the answers but will provide examples of successful, and unsuccessful, uses of immersive imaging. It will include an overview of the gear, from entry level to advanced. It will cover workflow challenges and requirements for Virtual reality, 360 photos and immersive 3D stories.

About The Speaker
Chad Westover is a Lecturer in the Graphic Information Technology (GIT) program at Arizona State University. Prior to that he worked as a Medical Photographer for the University Medical Center at the University of Arizona. The ASU Polytechnic Campus is home to The Polytechnic School which is one of the six schools that make up the Fulton Schools of Engineering. GIT is at the intersection of creativity and technology-- creating visual content for multi-channel distribution – print, web, photo, video, animation, and more.
Chad's specialties are in the areas of Commercial and Image Technology , Image Editing and Manipulation, High Speed Video and Photography. Additionally, emerging imaging technologies and visual communication media are strong research interests. He is an Adobe Certified Expert (A.C.E.) in Photoshop and Lightroom. His industry experience includes commercial,, event, and medical photography.
